Acceptable Use Policy

Students are expected to act in a responsible, ethical and legal manner. By your use of resources (information in electronic format OR any hardware or software that makes possible the storage and use of such information) owned or provided by Clintondale Community Schools, you agree to the following conditions:

To respect the privacy of other students and not intentionally seek information on, obtain copies of, or modify files, passwords or other data belonging to, other
users.

To respect the rights of other users and apply standards of common sense to the use of shared resources. Students shall neither impersonate another user, nor
resort to discriminatory remarks or offensive and inflammatory communications.

To respect the intended use of the school course, its software, storage capabilities, resources and content. Students shall not use any course or its contents to facilitate illegal activity, for commercial or for-profit purposes, for product advertisement or political lobbying, for loading or use of unauthorized games, programs, files or other electronic media, or for the distribution of obscene or pornographic materials. Students shall not engage in any non-school related work.

To respect the electronic integrity of the system, including software, hardware, media, storage and communication capabilities. Students shall not engage in any destruction, modification or abuse of this technology, or use it to disrupt the work of others.

To respect the legal protection provided by copyright and licensing of programs and data. Students shall neither engage in the use of unauthorized, illegal installation, distribution, or reproduction of copyrighted materials, nor shall they fraudulently copy, communicate, or modify materials or programs to avoid paying fees.

If the actions of a student violate any terms or conditions of the acceptable use policy, access to this school program will be terminated until the system administrator can review the actions. The administrator, upon review, will either reinstate or revoke the student's participation.
