A student must always submit work that represents his/her
own original ideas or cite all relevant sources for
the work if it is not original. Refer to the Web or
a local library for information regarding the proper
format to use on all other resources (books, magazines,
journals, newspapers, etc.).
Students should make it clear to what extent such sources
were used. Words or ideas that require citation include
(but are not limited to):
All hard copy or electronic publications, whether copyrighted
or not.
All visual or verbal communications, when the content
of such communication clearly originates from an identifiable
source.
Students who make submissions to any virtual classroom,
private mailbox, or dropbox fall within the scope of
words and ideas that require citations if used by someone
other than the original author.
Students MUST NOT:
• Have a tutor or friend complete any portion
of an assignment, activity or exam.
• Have a tutor, friend or reviewer make revisions
to an assignment, activity or exam.
• Copy work submitted by another student to a
public class meeting.
• Use information from on-line services without
proper citation.
• Have someone assist them in answering exam/test
questions or have someone see/review/critique their
answers prior to submitting those answers to the teacher.
This list is not all-inclusive. If you have any questions
regarding this policy or academic honesty, please contact
your instructor.
If the actions of a student violate any terms
or conditions of this policy, access to this school
program will be terminated until the system administrator
can review the actions. The administrator, upon review,
will either reinstate or revoke the student's participation.
